She will also present an overview of why funding is critical for the state's transportation infrastructure in the coming years.\n\nStephanie Carter serves as the Senior Policy Advisor at the Georgia Department of Transportation\, working primarily with elected officials on the local\, state and national level.  Prior to joining Georgia DOT's executive management team\, Carter spent nearly five years as a manager with Troutman Sanders\, advocating corporate issues with government relations for the state of Georgia\, the General Assembly and other agencies. \n\nCarter is a graduate of Georgia Tech\, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree (magna cum laude) and the University of Georgia\, where she received a Master in Public Administration.
