DESCRIPTION:The mission of YOUTH CONNECTION is to promote positive outcomes for the youth of Barrow County by providing youth\, parents\, and the community with the information and tools necessary to foster healthy-decision making skills. \n\nPositive Outcomes include:\n?	Decrease in teen pregnancy\n?	Decrease in teen sexual activity\n?	Decrease in incidence of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in teens\n?	Decrease in drug and alcohol use of teens\n?	Increase in self esteem among youth\n?	Increase communication among youth and parents\n?	Increase the graduation rate\n?	Decrease the drop-out rate\n\n\nProgram Goals and Objectives\n\nWe have three overarching goals that address our three main target groups: parents\, youth\, and the community.\n\n1.	To provide support and education for parents that empowers them to talk openly and listen objectively.\n\n2.	To provide youth with the information and tools needed to make healthier choices and avoid risky situations.\n\n3.	To foster collaboration among community\, parents\, and youth.\n\nWe are a group of concerned citizens and providers. At today's meeting we will give an update on our numerous activities with the main focus on planning for our Summer Youth Conference
